What the *** happened to them?
I too am a bit pissed off with this company! I shelled out 195.00 just so I could go and find jobs that I never could get. Oh but that's not the best part people. I live in Tacoma and the Northwest office is in Lakewood, so one day I decided after I couldn't find work anywhere else to stop by the office, after not being there for some time. And when I got there they weren't even in the same location any longer, as a matter of fact they never left an address, nothing on their door indicating where they were going or if they went out of business. At my first meeting with them it was all pretty professional, but after a while I got tired of going in at certain times of the week just to be disappointed and leaving with empty hopes of finding work anywhere. This place truly turned out to be a big scam!

Took my money without ever following their end of the the service agreement.
I subscribed to Northwest Employment services in Lakewood WA 2 years ago to help my self get placed in a field of employment that was fitting to my skills. I ONLY did this because Northwest Employment had overrun the positions that were open and would not allow anyone the access to anyone for information on the open positions without paying a $190 fee for service. my first year of service was treated extremely poorly due to VERY bad staff in their office. the second year i was granted free of charge due to the first year's complications. here i am now trying to contact them for a few job postings and ALL of their numbers are disconnected and no longer in service. they'll be hearing from my lawyer due to breatch of contract.

Northwest Employment- rude, bad customer service
I contacted Northwest Employment on accident- I was responding to an employment ad for a school receptionist in the Tri-City Herald, but it turned out that this ad was a clever ruse. The phone number brought me to Northwest Employment, a company that, for the low low price of $190, will help you get a job. I was upset that the ad had tricked me into calling, but decided to be open-minded and see what they had to offer before writing them off as a complete scam. I had just been telling my husband the night before that I would pay good money for someone to help me find a job, and here was someone asking for good money! So I listened to the woman's spiel, despite her brusque, bordering on rude demeanor, and rushed, I-don't-have-time-for-this tone. If it works, I suppose it's not such a bad deal- they say they give you access to hundreds of jobs, and you get to meet with employers same day. However, I do not spend nearly $200 without first discussing it with my husband, or, for that matter, having more than 30 seconds to think it over myself. I politely told her that I had had two interviews earlier in the week, and didn't think it prudent to spend so much money before hearing back from those employers. She responded, brusquely but appropriately, with something along the lines of "We wish you luck." I opened my mouth to ask for her name and extension, so that if I needed the service next week, I could speak directly to her (in case of commission), but she had already hung up! Reading the above paragraph, I suppose it doesn't sound that awful, but I was very taken aback and offended. I was seriously considering this service, despite the somewhat dishonest way I came into contact with them. I could not believe the complete lack of customer service and common courtesy- as soon as she realized I wasn't whipping out my credit card, she was done. I didn't use the tone I normally use with solicitors- I wasn't shutting her down, or weaseling out of the situation- I simply was not willing to part with $200 less than a minute after being made aware of the service. I was ready with pen and paper to take down her name in case I didn't get the two jobs I had already interviewed for. I've never been hung up on by a business before. Ouch. I suppose it's a good thing, though. The internet seems to be rife with complaints and screams of "scam!". Even if you choose to trust what they sell, beware that their customer service is abysmal, and take your business elsewhere.

Northwest Employment SCAM
For $190 I expected a job! Not to be placed on a computer full of minimum wage jobs, the same jobs i had applied to out of the newspaper and online. I asked one of the staff members where they got the jobs they advertise... to my surprise she told me they are right out of CAREERBUILDER and copied from the newspaper. All Northwest Employment does is SELL the CUSTOMER on hopes and dreams... I have been unemployed for so long, I thought this might help. The sales person on the phone had all the right answers and promises. I was *** not to look the company up on the Better Business website (BBB) OMG! they have so many recent complaints, and half of the complaints are from their own ex- employees! They lied to me and said they were in business for over 20 years, I looked up the business license from less then 9 years ago! WOW! The local news station (KING TV) has even written a few stories on why NOT to use the company!

Northwest employment is a scam!!
The same thing happened to my husband and I. I work in the Medical/Health care field. They said that was their "Specialty", and I would have NO PROBLEM at all getting employment. They make it sound like you can check the job listings from your computer, however, there are alot of things not said. When you use their computers you can define the search for your specific job, at home, all you get to see is what they post which could be construction, drivers, etc. Or, they are in an area that you do not wish to drive to. I agree it was a complete rip off and waste of time, now maybe my husband will believe me when he sees for himself all the complaints that "IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!

They exaggerate how great the company is
Northwest Employment is such a joke. They advertise themselves as a company that makes jobs available only to their members. Which is true. That sounds really great at first. But think very hard about what that truly means.... On the document you sign when you submit $180 cash, it's explained in tiny print that they call companies to encourage them to advertise through them, and that at any moment these companies can choose to advertise elsewhere.(So these jobs are only available through them at the time of posting, which may only last a day. And, almost all jobs I applied for as soon/with in minutes they were posted replied back as already filled).... Although, as a customer YOU get caught up thinking that if these companies see Im a member they will realize that I really want a job and they will hire me............. But this is the real story.. When NWE loudly constantly tells you that these jobs are only available through them-they really just mean at the time of posting. NWE has admitted to me that they call the same huge number of companies EVERY SINGLE day of the week to encourage companies to advertise through them. When a company does choose to advertise, you may notice that they have a tone of jobs posted on their on business website but only one once in awhile on NWE, (because they get tired of them calling them everyday and just give in occasionally). It is not at all what it appears to be. I feel like such an *** for falling for NWE, but I guess it was a beneficial lesson in life to never fall for sometime so *** again!

Northwest Employment is a RIPOFF!!!
My husband and I paid this Northwest Employment and all we see are fictitious ads on their website. I have been saving the pages from their postings and comparing it to ads I see on sites like career-builders. And either the job is not the same as the number they are posting it as or the job was just never posted on their site at all. I contacted them about this and they refuse to contact me back. We want a refund and as consumers we are tired of people getting ripped off by people that are supposed to be there to help you.

Rip off stay far away!
NWE is a total rip off and a scam. There advertising is falsifying and deceiving. A few years ago my husband paid a fee of $120 and now they are charging $190, for what? There are no such jobs that are posted out there, yet they have the nerve to advertise "high paying" wages. WRONG! Most of the jobs they sent him to weren't even hiring. And to all you that say we're just pissed because we couldn't find a job...well he found one on his own and it pays very well! Stay away from this company!!!

TOTAL SCAM! dont be fooled by shady business practices!
I was fooled too by these jerks! I can't believe I was scammed into paying money upfront almost $200 bucks and I haven't worked in a year! I called almost a month ago and talked to someone by the name of jennifer who guaranteed I could be working the soon... I went into the office and spoke to someone completely different who assured me she was the manager, but the girl I spoke to on the phone said she was the manager...weird! And that "jennifer" was no longer with the company...and she could help me. WRONG! Every question I asked her was answered with another answer, I finally asked to speak to the girl I spoke with on the phone and was told that wasn't possible. I excused myself very quickly and walked out. Why couldn't I get an answer to... when will I be meeting with the employer or what kind of jobs do you have? Simple questions couldn't be answered.." I can't tell you that until you pay" was her answer. I went back in before I left and asked the receptionist for a copy of the paperwork I was being rushed to sign, and waited around to speak to a few of the clients walking out to see what their feelings were. One man was very quick to say he hadn't had one solid lead in over 2 months and that every job they advertise as exclusive could be found on careerbuilder or craigslist FOR FREE! At that point one of the employees from northwest employment rudely inturupted us and asked me to leave! Can you believe that? If I would have paid their $200 dollar fee would I have to leave!?? And isn't it my right to free speech in america? If the service wasn't a scam what was the problem with me getting a little feedback? I haven't been asked to leave a business in my whole life and feel it was inappropriate and down right rude. That is northwest employment scared ill find out? That they take your money and do nothing they promise? I am telling everyone about my experience with this company in hopes that no one has to go through what I went through. For all that, they should pay me $200!!!

NORTHWEST EMPLOYMENT IS A SCAM
Northwest employment listing service is a scam! Do your research on the BBB and type in"northwest employment scam' into your internet search bar, the wages advertised are made up and their jobs ARE NOT exclusive! They take their positions off of bigger local company web sites and advertise them as their own and charge unemployed people up front for jobs they stole off of careerbuilder or the newspaper. There is nothing close to 300 jobs in their *** computer counting the duplicates of the same positions over and over! They lied and told me they were in business for over 30 years?? How is that when they got their business license in 1999!!??? DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! Do not waste your money... its sad how long they've been scamming people. The staff is rude and not even qualified to use a stapler let alone get someone a job! But do your research, I paid the @$%* $!90 and then looked them up! HUGE MISTAKE!!

NWE-Complain to the BBB
After reading several reviews of this company from several sites I am soooo glad that I didn't fall in to their devil's trap. Also I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and it seems like all complaints that make it to the BBB are resolved quickly so that NWE doesn't have a terrible BBB rating. So my advice to all of you that have been mistreated is to make an official complaint with the BBB. Atleast you will get your more money back because it looks like they want to settle quickly so that they won't be sued. Good luck and thank you to everyone for being proactive.
